Ситуация: Ecological problems of our city (Экологические проблемы нашего города)

Образовательная цель: развитие умения решать практические задачи путем логико-аналитического решения.

Развивающая цель: развитие умений и навыков групповой и самостоятельной работы, развитие культуры речи, интеллектуальных умений.
Оснащение урока: интерактивная доска, мультимедийная презентация, видеоматериал, раздаточный материал; ватман, карандаши, фломастеры.
Подготовка к уроку:
1.Снять короткий репортаж об одном из дворов города, показывая беспорядок около мусорных контейнеров и неблагоустроенность двора.

1. Организационнаячасть.
Good morning, boys and girls! Today we are going to have a role-play devoted to ecological problems of our city. It will be a kind of a conference. You will be given special cards – instructions. Please, follow them. We should share the roles. In our conference we will have:
The director of the Power Station, the representative of communal service of our city, the main ecologist of the town, the doctor of one of the town hospitals, the reporter, representatives of “Green Peace”, press-center of the conference, all the rest will be playing the audience (you will also have special instructions).

После распределения ролей учащиеся получают карточки-инструкции. Количество ролей зависит от количества учащихся в группе.
The director of the Power Station.
Tell about your power station, what you do in order not to pollute the environment, what problems you should solve to save the nature. Tell about the level of water pollution in the area of the station (use the information you were given during our lessons. Be polite and ready to answer the question about different kinds of pollution and your future plans.
The main ecologist of the city.
Tell about environmental problems of our city. Give special statistics (you were given at previous lessons). What do you do to solve the problems? Remember children organization “Green Movement”. Tell about environmental meetings and special actions which were held in the town. Be ready to answer the questions about nature conservation, radiation.
The representative of communal service of our town.
Tell about difficulties in your work. Be not very truthful at the beginning and say that everything is OK and ecological situation is quite good in the city. Tell what your organization does to keep our city tidy and clean. After the videotape comment on everything you have seen. Ask everyone to use trash receptacles. Be ready to answer the questions from the audience.
The reporter
Say that you’ve got a videotape which shows that not everything is done to keep our town tidy and clean. Show the film, give your comments. Ask the representative of communal service of our town to comment on what he has seen. Take an active part in the conference.

Tell everyone about trash problems. Give a special test for the audience, asking how long communal wastes last:

Instructions for the press-center of the conference.
You will not take part in the conference. Listen to all participants very attentively making notes for the newspaper. By the end of the conference write an address to all people of our town saying what they should do and what shouldn’t to save our environment from pollution.
Учитель исполняет роль ведущего, направляя дискуссию, но, не принимая очень активного участия. Итогом урока станет обращение, которое можно зачитать и позже поместить на стенд класса.
